Rer-nro Vrët

Rer-nro Vrët (/rer/ /nro/ [pact] [article (text)]) is a subtropical Town located in the Depi Vadiz̄ema Diocese of the Covenent of Irus.

The name Rer-nro Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Rer-nro Vrët was founded by Laerguldes Dharda, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Rer-nro Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 35°C (95°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 39°C (102°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a hot 31°C (87°F). Rer-nro Vrët receives an average of 67 cm/y (26 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Rer-nro Vrët covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 19392 m (20672 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Rer-nro Vrët was founded durring the late 15th century in winter of the year 1369, by Laerguldes Dharda. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Laerguldes Dharda.

Rer-nro Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Rer-nro Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Rer-nro Vrët is buildings are arranged arround a single spacious baked earthen mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. Rer-nro Vrët's bare minimum defences are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Right off the bat Rer-nro Vrët hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The new wealth has created some worrying attitudes in many passers by, such that it’s clear new laws have recently been enacted and enforced with such extreme scrutiny the locals seem to be going about their day as if by clockwork.

Rer-nro Vrët has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Rer-nro Vrët's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Rer-nro Vrët has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Rer-nro Vrët has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

There’s more than one leader in Rer-nro Vrët, but at least some of them are at each other’s throats. It might be a conflict between formal leadership and informal authorities, or it could be a struggle among civil officials. Their interests might diverge sharply, or it could be a personal grudge that’s boiled over. Outside threats and internal problems are likely being ignored until the power struggle is resolved.

Rer-nro Vrët's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..
